the island capital of Konkan Mauryas, is celebrated for its colossal picture of Mahesamurti with three heads each speaking to a diverse shape. The Elephanta Caves serve as an extraordinary

visitor fascination within the region of the  expansive Mumbai city. The Elephanta island is found 10 km absent from the Portal of India at Mumbai in Maharashtra. The cave sanctuary devoted to Master Shiva, was uncovered at some point within the 8th century by the Rashtrakuta lords, who ruled the area between A.D. 757-973. The Elephanta caves could be a conglomeration of seven caves, out of which the foremost critical is the Mahesa-murti cave. The most body of the cave, barring the porticos on the three open sides and the back isle, is 27 meters square and is bolstered by columns of six columns each. The huge figures of 'dvarapalas' or doorkeepers are exceptionally impressive. There are molded compartments in this cave with surprising pictures of Ardhanarisvara, Kalyana-sundara Shiva, Ravanab best tagged in with places to visit in india
